WATERFORD — A mysterious bicycle bag without any identifying marks was turned in at the St. Johnsbury Barracks on July 16, after it was found on VT Route 18.
Vermont State Police reported that the bag was dropped off around 2 p.m. and are now seeking the owner.
The authorities have requested that the individual claiming the bag contact the St. Johnsbury barracks at 802-222-4680 and provide a description of the contents to ensure it is returned to its rightful owner.
A photograph of the found bicycle bag has been circulated in hopes of reaching the owner.
The police have not disclosed the contents of the bag to the public, as they are using it as a means to verify the ownership.
Community members are encouraged to spread the word in order to help locate the owner of the lost property.
