IRA — A 47-year-old man from Ira was arrested and charged with domestic assault following a family fight on Monday night, Vermont State Police said.
Matthew Reveal was taken into custody after troopers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in Ira at approximately 9:28 p.m. on July 15.
Investigators determined that Reveal had caused pain and injury to a household member, according to a statement from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks.
Authorities did not release the name or any identifying information about the victim, in accordance with state policy regarding cases of domestic violence.
Reveal was cited to appear before the Rutland County Superior Court, Criminal Division at 12:30 p.m. on July 16 to face the domestic assault charge.
The incident remains under investigation by the Vermont State Police.
