LONDONDERRY — A Manchester man was taken into custody following a hit-and-run crash that occurred early this morning, authorities said.

At 7:12 a.m. today, July 15, New Hampshire State Troopers from Troop B received reports of a collision on Interstate 93 southbound.

According to the State Police, Kyle Barka, 31, struck a 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan with his 2019 Acura ILX and fled the scene.

The incident began when both drivers pulled over on the I-93 southbound Exit 4 offramp to exchange information after the initial rear-end collision.

As the Volkswagen’s driver exited their car, Barka reportedly drove forward, hitting the individual before driving away.

Following a swift investigation, Manchester Police Department officers located Barka and the Acura at a Manchester residence.

He was arrested on State Police warrants for felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, along with several other charges from both the State Police and Manchester Police Department.

The Volkswagen driver sustained minor injuries in the ordeal.

The investigation is still active, and authorities are calling on anyone with additional information to contact Trooper Shane Mason at 603-223-4381 or via email at [email protected].
