Tewksbury police seek public’s help in identifying shooting suspect

TEWKSBURY — Chief Ryan Columbus and the Tewksbury Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in connection with a shooting that occurred early Monday morning.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 5 a.m., Monday, July 15, after two vehicles were seen leaving the Home Depot on Main Street.

According to the preliminary investigation, the rear vehicle fired multiple shots at the vehicle in front.

Fortunately, there have been no injuries reported in connection with the incident.

The suspect’s vehicle has since fled the area.

Investigators believe the individuals involved in the shooting are acquainted with each other and that this incident was not a random act of violence.

The Tewksbury Police Department has identified a person of interest in the case, who is believed to be named Curtis and may reside in southern New Hampshire.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the shooting or who may have been near the Home Depot to Wamesit Lanes during the time of the incident to contact the Tewksbury Police Department at 978-851-7373.
