Single-vehicle crash in Hampton Falls claims one life

HAMPTON FALLS — A fatal vehicle crash early in the morning has claimed the life of a driver in Hampton Falls.

New Hampshire State Police responded to a vehicle fire on Exeter Road at about 3:40 a.m. on July 14.

The incident involved a Subaru Impreza sedan that had caught fire after crashing.

Troopers from Troop A Barracks, along with the Hampton Falls Fire Department, arrived at the scene to find the car fully engulfed in flames.

Once the fire was extinguished, authorities discovered the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, had died.

The stretch of Exeter Road where the crash occurred, between Brown Road and Parsonage Road, was closed to traffic for around four and a half hours following the accident.

State Police were assisted by Hampton Falls Fire/EMS, the NH Fire Marshal’s Office, and the NH Department of Transportation during the response and initial investigation.

Investigators are looking into speed as a contributing factor to the crash, but the investigation remains ongoing to determine all the circumstances.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
