GREENLAND — A motorcyclist led New Hampshire State Police on a high-speed chase reaching speeds up to 158 mph before being arrested on July 14.

State Police Trooper Thomas Lombardi, operating the state police aircraft, spotted a group of motorcycles traveling hazardously eastbound on Route 101 in Raymond.

Lombardi focused on the lead motorcycle, which was observed breaking away from the group, dangerously weaving through traffic, and squeezing between two cars simultaneously.

The aircraft’s radar confirmed the motorcycle’s speed at 158 mph as it continued eastbound.

Nearing the I-95 exit ramp, Trooper Samuel Provenza recorded a speed of 110 mph and attempted to initiate a traffic stop by activating his emergency lights.

Noticing a passenger and the motorcycle’s failure to slow down, Provenza refrained from pursuit.

The suspect, later identified as 21-year-old Zachary Michael Dionne of Farmington, NH, led police through a high-speed chase, with Trooper Lombardi providing aerial tracking.

Dionne’s motorcycle weaved through traffic on Route 1 and I-95 northbound, reaching speeds of 144 mph.

The chase concluded when Dionne pulled into a gas station on Greenland Road.

Sgt. John LaPointe apprehended Dionne without further incident.

Dionne faces multiple charges, including Felony Reckless Conduct – Deadly Weapon, Resisting Arrest, Disobeying an Officer, Reckless Driving, Fail to Display Plates, Unsafe Lane Change, and Unregistered Vehicle.

He was detained at the Rockingham County House of Corrections pending his arraignment at Hampton District Court on July 15.
