Greenwich police seek public’s help in targeted carjacking case

GREENWICH — Greenwich Police Department provided an update on the ongoing carjacking investigation, revealing that the victim appears to have been specifically targeted by the suspects during out-of-state travel rather than being randomly chosen.

According to authorities, surveillance footage showed two suspects involved in the incident.

The first suspect is described as a black or Hispanic male with a thin build, in his late teens to early 20s, who was wearing all black including a black balaclava and black sneakers.

The second suspect is also a black or Hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s, but with a stocky build and similarly dressed in black clothing.

The suspects were seen operating a black 4-door Acura TLX.

Early reports to the police mentioned gunshots heard at the scene; however, witness interviews have since confirmed that no gunshots were fired during the carjacking.

The Greenwich Police Department is actively investigating the crime and has issued a call for public assistance.

They urge anyone with any information to come forward as their input could be crucial to resolving the case.
