HINGHAM — A driver was arrested late Saturday night after a collision near the intersection of Rockland St. and George Washington Blvd.
Authorities reported that the crash occurred just before 11 p.m. when the driver of a truck veered into oncoming traffic and struck a car.
There were no passengers in the car at the time of the incident.
The car’s driver sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The condition of the injured driver has not been disclosed.
The truck driver was not injured in the crash but was taken into custody by Hingham Police on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol.
