Rhode Island troopers make multiple arrests for forgery, larceny, and drug possession

WARWICK — A series of arrests were made by Rhode Island State Troopers over the weekend, including charges of forgery, larceny, and drug possession following traffic stops and investigations, authorities said.

On July 12, at approximately 2:11 p.m., Troopers stopped a vehicle on Route 95 in Warwick and arrested 22-year-old Xavier Barros of Pawtucket.

Barros faces charges of forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates, providing false documents to a public official, and possession of a controlled substance.

After being processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, Barros was arraigned and released pending a court appearance at the Third Division District Court.

That evening at 8:48 p.m., Issaias Gonnell Molina, a 21-year-old Providence resident, was arrested on an affidavit and arrest warrant related to obtaining money under false pretenses, forgery and counterfeiting, and fraudulent checks.

Molina was held overnight at State Police Headquarters pending arraignment as a bail violator.

Two minutes later, Jesse Cordeiro, 40, also from Providence, was taken into custody on a warrant for larceny over $1,500 after a barracks investigation.

He was processed and released pending a future court date.

Early on July 13, at 1:44 a.m., Dinaurys Ulloa, 30, of Providence, was stopped on Anthony Avenue and arrested on a bench warrant for failing to appear for arraignment on forgery and counterfeiting charges.

Ulloa was processed and then transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.

Shortly after, at 1:58 a.m., Pedro Dejesus, 40, of Pawtucket, was arrested on a bench warrant for failing to appear at a restitution hearing for a shoplifting charge.

After being processed, Dejesus was also turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.
