REVERE — Two men were arrested and a significant amount of drugs, a firearm, and cash were seized following a three-month multijurisdictional narcotics investigation, authorities said Friday.
The Revere Police Special Investigation Unit, working alongside the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, Everett and Chelsea police, conducted the investigation which led to the arrests of Kerlin Aubourg, 36, and Eric Paolucci, 54, both of Revere.
Law enforcement executed two separate search warrants in the city with the assistance of North Metro SWAT, Malden SOU, and Revere Police Patrol.
The seizures included an illegally possessed firearm, over 500 grams of fentanyl, 2,716 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, 28 grams of methamphetamine, 2 grams of ketamine, ammunition, and over $70,000 in cash, along with other property items.
Aubourg faces charges including possession of a firearm and ammunition without a license, and trafficking and distribution of drugs.
Paolucci is charged with trafficking and distribution of drugs.
“The Revere Police Special Investigation Unit was created to disrupt and reduce violent incidents in the city,” Chief David J.
Callahan said. “They have been exceptionally successful in identifying the perpetrators, seizing firearms, and arresting those who mean harm to the people in our community.”
The arrests and seizures highlight the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to address the supply side of the drug crisis, officials noted.
Both Aubourg and Paolucci are being held at the Suffolk County Nashua Street Jail and are scheduled for arraignment in Chelsea District Court on Monday, July 12.
