CONWAY — A fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck occurred on East Main Street at approximately 3:57 p.m. on July 12, resulting in one death and a fiery aftermath.

Conway Police Department officers, upon reaching the scene, discovered that a 2022 Peterbilt tractor pulling a 2009 Manac trailer had collided with a 2002 Ford F150 pickup truck.

The impact caused both vehicles to catch fire.

The driver of the pickup succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision.

Authorities have withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.

The tractor-trailer’s driver, identified as 35-year-old Andrew Ouellette, received treatment for minor injuries at Memorial Hospital.

The crash’s severity prompted Conway Police to enlist aid from the New Hampshire State Police Troop E Barracks, their Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit, and Troop G Barracks for the investigation.

Preliminary findings indicate that the tractor-trailer was heading eastbound when it veered across the centerline, striking the westbound pickup.

Conway Fire Department and Crowell’s Towing provided assistance at the scene.

As the investigation continues, officials are seeking information from the public.

They urge anyone with video footage or knowledge about the incident to contact Trooper First Class Daniel R.
