CHESTERFIELD — Two adults and a juvenile were hospitalized with serious injuries after a dramatic crash on Route 9 early Saturday morning.

The Chesterfield Police Department, alongside New Hampshire State Police and several local fire departments, responded to the accident at approximately 7:47 a.m. near Thomas Construction.

The vehicle, a silver Jeep Grand Wagoneer, veered off the road and into the woods, landing in a small stream 500 feet from the roadway.

Timothy McManus, 36, Zuleyka McManus, 37, both of Newbury, NH, and a male juvenile were the injured parties.

They were extracted from the vehicle by medical teams and transported to Cheshire Medical Center.

Authorities said the Jeep was eastbound when it swerved, hit a sign, and was launched airborne for 47 feet before coming to rest.

The cause of the swerve remains under investigation.

Acting Chief Lance Rouse has called for any witnesses of the crash to come forward and has provided contact details for tips.
