MANCHESTER — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly hit-and-run collision that claimed the life of a 71-year-old bicyclist earlier this month.

The incident occurred on July 3 when the cyclist was struck by a car at the intersection of Central St and Union St. He sustained a serious head injury and later died at the hospital.

Eyewitness accounts described the fleeing vehicle as a black Nissan Rogue with potential veteran’s plates, last seen heading east on Central St.

After an extensive investigation, police located the vehicle and identified 59-year-old Stanley Richardson of Candia as the driver.
