Manchester man drowns in Crystal Lake, investigation underway

MANCHESTER — At approximately 6:57 p.m. today, New Hampshire State Police – Marine Patrol responded to reports of a drowning at Crystal Lake in the city of Manchester.

Amin Taheri, 33, from Cambridge, MA, was swimming when he vanished from sight, prompting witnesses to search for him.

Rescuers found Taheri submerged in the lake.

Despite efforts to save his life, he was later pronounced dead at Elliot Hospital.

Officials say the death does not seem suspicious, but the case remains under investigation.

Manchester Police Department, Fire and Rescue, and the New State Medical Examiner’s Office were all present at the scene.

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Supervisor William Dansereau at the Marine Patrol.
