Man arrested on DUI charges after single-vehicle crash in Dorset

DORSET — A single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning led to the arrest of a Dorset man on suspicion of driving under the influence, Vermont State Police said.

Police responded to a report of a crash on Morse Hill Road around 1:16 a.m. Terry L. Campney, 68, was identified as the driver of the vehicle.

Troopers noted signs of impairment while speaking with Campney, who was then arrested on suspicion of DUI.

He was processed at the Manchester Police Department and released with a citation.

Campney is set to appear in Vermont Superior Court’s Bennington Criminal Division at a later date.

The Vermont State Police were assisted at the scene by the Northshire Rescue Squad, Dorset Fire Department, Manchester Police Department, and Paul’s Towing.
