Three suspects arrested in Boston armed robbery

BOSTON — Police arrested three men Thursday in connection with an armed robbery at a Blue Hill Avenue business that led to a standoff in Dorchester.

Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at 479 Blue Hill Ave. around 4 p.m. July 11.

Three suspects with firearms had fled the scene before police arrived.

Detectives identified two suspects from surveillance footage and tracked a stolen watch to Adams Street.

Officers located the suspects’ vehicle at 86 Adams St. and determined the three men were inside the apartment building.

After negotiations, two suspects surrendered.

SWAT officers forcibly entered to apprehend the third.

Police secured the apartments pending a search warrant.

During booking, officers found plastic bags containing suspected drugs.

James Mendes, 32, of Randolph; Eric Hines, 32, of Roslindale; and Hendrick Davis, 41, of Brockton face multiple charges including armed robbery and firearms offenses.

Davis faces additional drug charges.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
