Panton man arrested for domestic assault, child presence violation

PANTON — On July 11, at approximately 12:33 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute in Panton.

Authorities reported that Nicholas Pecor, 21, assaulted a family member in their home while a child was present.

Pecor was also in breach of his conditions of release due to contact with a person he was prohibited from seeing.

Pecor had fled the scene before troopers arrived but was later located and apprehended by Vergennes Police officers around 7:30 p.m. in Vergennes.

He was taken into custody without further incident.

After being processed at the Vergennes Police Department, Pecor received new conditions of release and a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court – Criminal Division to face charges of domestic assault and other related offenses.
