Man arrested on DUI charges after found unresponsive at green light in Brattleboro

BRATTLEBORO — A local man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after police found him unresponsive in his vehicle at a green light, Vermont State Police said.

Daniel Seward, 55, of Brattleboro, was observed by patrolling troopers at a standstill at a traffic signal on Canal Street at about 7:30 p.m. on July 11.

Upon investigation, Seward showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody.

Seward was released with a citation and is expected to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on July 30 at 8:30 a.m. to face DUI charges.
