WORCESTER — Worcester police arrested a 19-year-old man early Thursday in connection with a car break-in reported earlier in the week.
Officers assigned to the Summer Impact program apprehended Albert Kariuki of Orton Street around 12:30 a.m. July 12 after developing probable cause that he had broken into a vehicle on Hyannis Place.
Police had initially responded to a report of a car break-in in the Hyannis Place area around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.
After investigating, officers identified Kariuki as a suspect but were unable to locate him at that time.
Kariuki was charged with breaking and entering a vehicle during the nighttime.
