ROCKLAND — Following a spate of criminal incidents including break-ins, property damage, and a case of arson, Rockland Police Department is appealing to the public to promptly report any suspicious activities they witness.

The department has encountered several witnesses in the course of their investigations who observed or heard the incidents but chose not to contact law enforcement immediately.

Many believed others would report the activity, or they did not wish to inconvenience the police.

Rockland Police emphasize the importance of community involvement in maintaining public safety and encourage residents to come forward with information as events unfold.

Timely reporting significantly increases the chances of preventing criminal activities and solving cases.

Officials remind the public that the police are always available to respond to concerns, and that the community’s cooperation is crucial in their efforts to keep the area safe.

For non-emergency situations, the Knox Regional Communications Center can be reached at (207) 593-9132 ext. 4.

In case of an emergency, dial 9-1-1.

Residents can also communicate with Rockland Police via Facebook Messenger to provide tips or respond to requests for assistance in identifying suspects.

The department values any information that can help maintain the security and well-being of the Rockland community.
