PROVIDENCE — Troopers arrested a Cranston man on charges related to controlled substances after a motor vehicle stop Wednesday night.
Elvis Veras Acevedo, 33, of 58 Weston Avenue, was taken into custody at 9:45 p.m. on Douglas Avenue, according to the Rhode Island State Police.
The arrest was based on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Manufacturing/Delivery/Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V.
The warrant originated from the Warwick Police Department.
Veras Acevedo was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks before being handed over to the Warwick Police Department.
