Exeter man arrested, charged with possession of child sexual abuse materials

EXETER — A well-known New Hampshire author faces multiple felony charges for alleged possession of child sexual abuse materials.

Brendan DuBois, 64, of Exeter, turned himself in to local police on July 10 following a months-long investigation.

He was arrested on a warrant and charged with six Class A felony counts of possession of child pornography.

The Exeter Police Department, working with the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, began investigating DuBois in March.

Authorities executed a search warrant as part of the probe.

DuBois is being held without bail for preventative detention.

He is scheduled for arraignment at 10th Circuit Court in Brentwood on July 11 at 10 a.m.

Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in the investigation, including detectives from Portsmouth, Dover, Pelham, Epping, and Manchester police departments, as well as New Hampshire and Massachusetts state police.
