St. Albans woman arrested after firing gun during altercation

ST. ALBANS — Early this morning St. Albans Police Department officers were called to a scene of a physical altercation, where it was reported that a firearm had been discharged toward another individual.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered that the suspect had fled the area.

After conducting a search, they located Lisa Therrien, 37, in a nearby wooded area.

Therrien, a St. Albans resident, was taken into custody without further incident and held at the local police department prior to her arraignment.

During the arraignment, Therrien was charged with first-degree aggravated domestic violence.

The conditions of release were issued, and bail was set at $100.

Therrien was able to post the required bail amount and was released from the courthouse.

The St. Albans Police Department noted in their press release that the names of victims in domestic violence cases are not disclosed.
