ST. ALBANS — A local man faces serious charges following an investigation into significant injuries sustained by an infant child.
Jonathan Bombard, 25, of St. Albans, was arrested on June 24 after the Northwest Unit for Special Investigations was alerted to an infant with significant injuries at UVM Medical Center.
Authorities determined that Bombard was responsible for the injuries, committing 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault and Cruelty to a Child.
Following the investigation, Bombard was lodged at Northwest State Correctional Center.
He is being held for lack of $5,000 bail.
The Vermont State Police, respecting the privacy of the victims, have not released any names relating to the domestic assault case.
Bombard is scheduled for arraignment in Vermont Superior Court – Franklin Criminal Division on July 10 at 1 p.m.
