PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Police Department reported a busy week with 958 calls for service from July 1 to July 7, culminating in several arrests and investigations.
During the week, the department made numerous arrests, including a 28-year-old on July 3 for witness tampering, contempt, and an outstanding warrant.
On the same day, a 21-year-old was also apprehended on an arrest warrant.
The Fourth of July saw a 38-year-old and a 25-year-old arrested, the latter for a noise violation under the Disorderly Actions Ordinance.
Drug-related arrests were prevalent, with individuals ranging from 18 to 68 years old taken into custody for possession and distribution of controlled substances, including fentanyl.
Notably, on July 5, a 44-year-old was arrested for the sale of less than 1 gram of fentanyl, contempt, and an outstanding warrant.
Another 44-year-old faced multiple possession charges the same day.
An 18-year-old was apprehended for unlawful possession and intoxication.
Investigative reports filed by the department included credit card fraud, willful concealment, a fentanyl-related incident, lost or found property, a motor vehicle accident, welfare check, domestic violence with simple assault, and receiving stolen property valued between $0-$1000.
In addition to these activities, the police responded to two motor vehicle accidents.
Traffic enforcement efforts resulted in 12 warnings for moving violations and one citation.
The Plymouth Parking Enforcement and Police Department also issued 31 parking citations but did not immobilize any vehicles for non-payment of fines.
