FALMOUTH — Old Barnstable Road was temporarily shut down near O’Donnell Ave following an accident involving an SUV that collided with a tree, police said.
The Falmouth Police Department responded to the crash scene earlier today.
The road closure was necessary to ensure the safety of emergency responders and to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Falmouth Police and the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation was completed, and the roadway was cleared for public use later in the day.
Officials have not released details regarding the cause of the accident or the condition of the SUV’s occupants.
