Man faces drug charges after Tewksbury arrest

TEWKSBURY — Tewksbury Police Chief Ryan Columbus announced the arrest of a Lowell man on charges of drug distribution and possession on Monday evening.

Omari Robinson, 26, of Lowell, was taken into custody and faces charges including distribution of a Class B substance (subsequent offense) and possession of a Class B substance (subsequent offense).

The arrest occurred at around 8:08 p.m. near 1915 Andover St. after Tewksbury Police, with the assistance of the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office, concluded an ongoing investigation.

Robinson was apprehended after allegedly selling crack cocaine worth $100.

A subsequent search of Robinson and his vehicle led to the discovery of substances believed to be methamphetamine and other drug-related items.

Robinson was arrested at the scene without incident and is scheduled to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Tuesday.
