BOLTON — A New York woman faces her third driving under the influence charge after crashing into a tractor Monday evening in Bolton, police said.
Vermont State Police arrested Teri Wheeler, 61, of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., following the collision at 6:04 p.m. on July 8, 2024.
Troopers responding to the crash scene said Wheeler showed signs of impairment during their initial conversation.
After conducting field sobriety tests, officers took Wheeler into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Wheeler was processed at the Williston State Police barracks and later released.
She was issued a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court Criminal Division at 8:30 a.m. on July 25 to answer to the charge of DUI, third offense.
No injuries were reported in the crash between Wheeler’s vehicle and the tractor.
