Second victim dies following St. Johnsbury incident, police suspect domestic violence

ST. JOHNSBURY — A second person involved in a recent St. Johnsbury incident died Sunday at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, Vermont State Police said.

The individual, who had been receiving treatment for critical injuries sustained during the incident, succumbed to their injuries.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of the deceased, pending autopsies.

The second victim’s autopsy is scheduled to take place at the New Hampshire Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Concord.

Vermont State Police confirmed that all parties involved were local to the St. Johnsbury area.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

Preliminary evidence gathered by investigators suggests that the incident stemmed from an act of domestic violence.

The investigation is still active, and detectives are diligently working to piece together the events that led to the tragic outcome.
