Dominick Brown, 21, of Orleans, was driving south on Route 14 when he failed to navigate a left turn just south of the intersection, police said. The 2014 Chevrolet Cruze veered off the road and rolled before landing upright.

A juvenile passenger, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle during the rollover. Both Brown and the juvenile were taken to North Country Hospital. Brown sustained minor injuries, while the juvenile’s injuries were described as significant but not life-threatening.

Authorities cited speed as a factor in the crash. Brown faces criminal charges including grossly negligent operation, excessive speed, and furnishing alcohol to a minor or enabling consumption by a minor.

The vehicle was totaled in the crash. Orleans Ambulance, Irasburg Fire Department, and Wrights Towing assisted at the scene.
