Woman faces DUI, hit-and-run charges after Route 104 incident in Fairfax

FAIRFAX — A Morrisville woman was charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident after she allegedly hit two motorcycles and drove erratically on Route 104.

Mariah Spaulding, 29, was apprehended by authorities on July 5 at 6:11 p.m. after several witnesses reported a vehicle operating irregularly and dangerously on the roadway in Fairfax.

Upon stopping Spaulding, police determined she was under the influence of alcohol.

The subsequent investigation also found that she had collided with two motorcycles and failed to stop before being pulled over by law enforcement.

Spaulding now faces charges for DUI, gross negligent operation, and leaving the scene of an accident (LSA).

Details regarding the condition of the motorcyclists were not immediately available, and the incident remains under investigation.
