Three arrested in Hermon robbery, victim hospitalized with serious injuries

HERMON — Three individuals were taken into custody following an early morning robbery on June 23 that left one man severely injured and hospitalized.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving a call at about 3:45 a.m. from the Penobscot Regional Communications Center regarding an injured male on Union Street.

Upon arrival, deputies found the victim with extensive injuries from an assault.

Investigators quickly ascertained that the man had been attacked and robbed by individuals he knew.

Acting on leads, deputies located a suspect vehicle at the Holiday Inn on Odlin Road in Bangor.

Three out of five identified suspects were detained at the scene.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division detectives arrived to support the investigation, executing search warrants on two hotel rooms and the vehicle in question.

During the search, detectives uncovered multiple bags of Crack Cocaine among other incriminating evidence.

The arrests included 45-year-old Tory Kindred of Old Town, originally from New York, 47-year-old Thomas Pope of Sicklerville, New Jersey, and 35-year-old Amanda Allard of Bangor, Maine.

All three face Class A Felony charges for Robbery.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office indicated that more arrests are anticipated as additional suspects have been identified.

The victim remains in the hospital, and further charges are expected as the investigation progresses.
