VERNON — Vermont State Police responded to a 911 call reporting a family fight at a Pond Road residence on the night of July 4.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 10:02 p.m. in the Town of Vernon.
The investigation revealed that Laurelee Akley, 52, had physically assaulted another member of her household.
Akley was taken into custody and transported to Westminster Barracks for processing.
She was later released with a criminal citation.
Akley is expected to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Friday at 12:30 p.m. to respond to the charges.
