Woman arrested for aggravated domestic assault in Burke

BURKE — State Police arrested 28-year-old Raven Burrington of Burke on charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault after responding to a family dispute on July 4.

Troopers were called to Bugbee Crossing Rd at 3:39 p.m. for a report of a family fight.

Upon arrival, they discovered that Burrington had allegedly threatened to assault a household member with a knife before fleeing the scene.

Burrington was located shortly after and taken into custody without further incident.

She was transported to the State Police Barracks in St. Johnsbury for processing.

Following her arrest, Burrington was held on $500 bail at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility.

She is set to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on July 5 at 12:30 p.m.

In accordance with their policy, the Vermont State Police has not released the name of the victim.
