CHESTERFIELD — Two people were seriously injured in a head-on collision early Friday morning at the intersection of Route 9 and Spring Street.
At about 6 a.m., Chesterfield Police Department, along with Chesterfield, Spofford, Keene Fire Rescues and Rescue Inc., responded to reports of a serious accident.
A gray Toyota Corolla, traveling eastbound on Route 9 at a high rate of speed, crossed the center line and collided with a silver Dodge Caravan heading westbound.
The driver of the Toyota was transported to Cheshire Medical Center, and the driver of the Dodge was taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, both with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
