Manchester police seek driver in hit-and-run that injured cyclist

MANCHESTER — Manchester Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Central and Union streets.

On July 3 at approximately 3:45 p.m., authorities received a report of a collision involving a car and a bicycle.

Responding officers found a 71-year-old man on Central Street with a serious head injury.

The injured cyclist was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Witnesses described the fleeing vehicle as a newer model black Nissan Rogue with veteran’s license plates.

According to eyewitness accounts, the car struck the bicycle in the intersection and continued driving east on Central Street without stopping.

The Manchester Police Traffic Unit is actively seeking information from the public regarding the incident.
