Man arrested for domestic assault at Button Bay State Park

FERRISBURGH — On July 4, Vermont State Police responded to a call of a domestic disturbance at Button Bay State Park in Ferrisburgh.

At around 7 p.m., troopers from the New Haven Barracks arrived at the scene and discovered that Bryan Hathaway, 40, of Essex Junction, had caused bodily injury to a member of his household.

The victim’s name has not been released by authorities due to the nature of the incident.

Following the investigation, Hathaway was taken into custody without further incident.

He was subsequently transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.

After his arrest, Hathaway was released with conditions that include appearing before the Addison County Superior Court – Criminal Division at a future date to face charges stemming from the domestic assault.

The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the incident.
