Cavendish man charged with second DUI, negligent driving

CAVENDISH — A local man was arrested on Independence Day after authorities say he was driving under the influence on Main Street.

Shawn A. Lindberg, 50, of Cavendish, was taken into custody after Vermont State Police responded to a report of a suspected DUI around 6:26 p.m.

Troopers from the Westminster Barracks conducted an investigation and determined that Lindberg was impaired while operating a black 2016 GMC Sierra on various public roads.

Lindberg was arrested on charges of DUI #2 and Negligent Operation.

Following his arrest, he was processed at the Westminster Barracks and released with a criminal citation.

He is scheduled to appear before the Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, on July 23 at 8 a.m. to respond to the charges.
