Sterling College hit by theft, police seek information

CRAFTSBURY — Multiple items, including electronics, jewelry, and gift certificates, were reported stolen from Sterling College between June 21 and June 23, prompting an investigation by Vermont State Police.

The theft was discovered on June 24 at 5 p.m. when a college representative notified authorities of the larceny at 16 Sterling Drive.

Among the stolen goods were 6-8 necklaces, a pair of Airpods, several gift certificates to local businesses, two bottles of cider, assorted jewelry from a Pandora box, a wooden cutting board, a whimsical chicken-shaped dishcloth, a sheep hide, and between $20 to $60 in cash.

In addition to personal items, the thieves also took four Sterling College inReach satellite devices, a college satellite phone, a flip phone, various charging cables, and envelopes containing donation money.

State police are actively investigating the incident and encourage anyone with information to come forward.
