Milton man arrested on multiple warrants, provides false information during traffic stop

MILTON — Vermont State Police apprehended a 40-year-old man on multiple arrest warrants after a routine traffic stop on Interstate 89 North on July 3.

Eric Badore of Colchester was identified as a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for speeding at mile marker 101.8 around 1:20 p.m.

Known to have active warrants, Badore attempted to mislead troopers by providing a false name and birth date.

The warrants for Badore’s arrest included charges for home improvement fraud and violations of parole in Franklin County, with a bail set at $1,000.

In Chittenden County, he faced charges for gross negligent operation resulting in serious injury and DUI with injury, carrying a $10,000 bail.

Additionally, a misdemeanor retail theft charge in Washington County set his bail at $200.

After being taken into custody for providing false information and on the outstanding warrants, Badore was lodged at Northwest State Correction Facility unable to post the combined $13,200 bail.

He received a citation to appear in court for the aforementioned charges on a later date.
