TRUMBULL — A man was pulled from the waters of Pinewood Lake late this afternoon following a reported drowning incident, according to Trumbull Police.
At approximately 6:45 p.m., emergency responders were called to the Pinewood Lake Recreation area on East Lake Road.
Officers from the Trumbull Police Department and personnel from the Nichols Fire Department discovered the unconscious man in the water.
They were able to bring him ashore using a boat.
Once on land, the man received immediate medical treatment from Trumbull EMS before being transported to Saint Vincent’s Medical Center for further care.
Police were seen comforting family members present at the scene and have initiated a preliminary investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the man’s near drowning.
