Man arrested for DUI in Johnson, providing false information

JOHNSON — A 25-year-old Johnson man was arrested late Wednesday night on charges of driving under the influence and furnishing false information to police.

Vermont State Police reported that they received a call about a potential impaired driver on Rt. 15 in Cambridge.

They located the suspect vehicle at a residence on Lower Main St. in Johnson shortly before 10 p.m.

The driver, identified as Devon Dunwoody, exhibited several signs of impairment during an encounter with troopers.

Dunwoody also gave officers false and misleading information during their investigation.

Dunwoody was taken into custody and processed at the Morrisville Police Department.

He was later released with a citation to appear in Lamoille Superior Court to face charges related to the incident.
