FAIRLEE — Troopers from the Vermont State Police – St. Johnsbury Barracks arrested 50-year-old Anthony Lipps of West Haven, Connecticut, for DUI after he was found driving the wrong way on Interstate 91 late Wednesday night.
Authorities received reports of a vehicle heading north in the southbound lanes near Bradford around 11:03 p.m.
Troopers searched the area along I-91 and US-5 and located the vehicle headed south near the intersection of US-5 and Town Common Road in Fairlee.
Upon stopping the vehicle, troopers conducted field sobriety tests on Lipps, which he failed, showing signs of impairment.
Lipps refused further testing and was taken to the Bradford Outpost for processing.
Lipps is scheduled to appear in Orange County Superior Court on July 17 at 8:30 a.m. to face DUI charges.
