Shooting in Medford leaves one injured, suspects at large

MEDFORD — A shooting incident in Medford on Wednesday left one man injured and multiple suspects at large, according to local police.

The Somerville Police Department initially responded to a report of a male with a gunshot wound to his upper torso at CHA Hospital in Somerville at approximately 8 p.m. on June 26, 2024.

The investigation revealed the shooting occurred on East Albion Street in Medford, just over the Somerville line.

Surveillance footage shows the incident took place at approximately 7:57 p.m., with multiple suspects fleeing towards Somerville after the shooting.

Authorities are seeking two vehicles of interest: a 2023 gray Toyota Prius with black rims and Massachusetts license plate 2RGV42, and a 2011-2013 silver or gray Lexus CT Hybrid.

The victim is currently in stable condition, police said.

Medford Police Detective Mike Pellegrino urged residents in the vicinity of Leyden Street, Leyden Avenue, Sanger Street, Joseph Street, and Edward Street with surveillance footage or additional information to contact the department at 781-391-6767.

While there is no known threat to surrounding areas, police advise residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
