Detectives seize guns, drugs, cash in Dorchester raids

BOSTON — Boston police detectives executed search warrants at two Dorchester addresses Monday, resulting in one arrest and the seizure of firearms, drugs and over $89,000 in cash.

Luis Lugo, 37, of Quincy, was arrested and faces multiple charges following the raids at 908 and 912 Morton Street, according to the Boston Police Department.

Detectives from the Human Trafficking and Crimes Against Children Unit carried out the operation on July 1.

Lugo was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, trafficking Class A and Class B substances, possession with intent to distribute Class D substances, and being an armed career criminal.

Police said they recovered a 9mm SCCY handgun during the searches.

Lugo is scheduled to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.

The investigation is ongoing.
