Southbridge police arrest four in narcotics sting

SOUTHBRIDGE — Detectives from the Southbridge Police Department, acting on recent tips regarding street-level drug distribution, arrested four individuals on drug-related charges Tuesday afternoon.

Surveillance operations led to the apprehension of the suspects after a suspected drug transaction was observed around 4:40 p.m. The vehicle involved was subsequently stopped on Worcester Street, where a K9 unit from the Sturbridge Police Department assisted in discovering suspected crack cocaine.

Jonathan Pagan, 37, Luis M. Miranda, 27, Alexandria Saez-Pacheco, and Franyavier Sierra-Rivera, 20, face various charges including distribution of class B crack cocaine and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

The suspects were held on cash bail at police headquarters and are slated for arraignment at Dudley District Court.

An additional person connected to the case is expected to receive a court summons at a later date.
