NEW HAVEN — New Haven Police Department (NHPD) officers are currently investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred on July 2 at 1:46 a.m., where a car struck a tree on the intersection of Farren Avenue and Fairmont Avenue.
Responding to the incident, law enforcement found two individuals trapped inside the vehicle, necessitating extrication by the fire department.
Both occupants were subsequently transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
The driver is listed in critical condition, while the passenger’s condition is stable.
The NHPD’s crash reconstruction unit has taken over the investigation.
Authorities are seeking assistance from the public and urge anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
