MILFORD — A 19-year-old New Haven woman was arrested late Thursday night after she allegedly punched a bouncer and spat on police officers at Stonebridge Restaurant.

Gisell Materan was taken into custody after an incident that began when she was seen vomiting at the establishment located at 50 Daniel Street, according to the Milford Police Department.

Officers working a private duty detail at the restaurant around 11 p.m. observed the situation.

When Stonebridge bouncers attempted to escort Materan out, she reportedly struck one of them in the face.

As officers intervened to detain her, Materan resisted and spat on them during the altercation.

She was eventually handcuffed and charged with breach of peace, third-degree assault, assault of a public safety officer, criminal trespass, and interfering with an officer.

Materan was released following her arrest and is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
