RICHMOND — A Massachusetts man was arrested early Tuesday morning on charges of driving under the influence and reckless driving following a vehicle stop on Route 95.
Jean Claude Ju Clermont, 27, of Malden, Massachusetts, was taken into custody after Rhode Island State Troopers conducted a motor vehicle stop at midnight.
Clermont’s blood alcohol content was measured at .121 during Phase I and .110 in Phase II, indicating impairment between .10 and .15, which is above the legal limit.
The arrest was executed by troopers from the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks.
Following the stop, Clermont was transported to the barracks, where he was processed.
He was subsequently arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released into the care of a responsible adult.
