WESTMINSTER — Vermont State Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 91 southbound that occurred on May 31 at around 4:32 p.m.
Authorities identified Robert Whitney, 71, of Chester, as the driver involved in a two-vehicle collision.
Whitney allegedly left the crash scene without fulfilling his duty to stop.
After an investigation, police issued Whitney a citation to appear before the Vermont Superior Court in the Windham Criminal Division.
Whitney is scheduled to appear in court on July 30 at 8:30 a.m. to face charges related to the incident.
There was no lodging or bail information provided, and a mug shot was not available.
